Obituary of Myrtle W. Hickman

"Mrs. Myrtie F. Brown, 75, of 714 Third Street South, died Monda;y in a Nampa hospital after a brief illness. (?) Brown was born March (?), 1878 in Spencer, Iowa. She was the widow of John T. Brown, who died Feb. 25, 1946. She was past noble (grand?) in the Rebekah Lodge in Grand Junction, Colo., and was a member of Colfax Rebkah Lodge No. 24 of Nampa. Mrs. Brown was a member of Nampa Chapter No. 3(?). Order of Eastern Star, a member of the War Mothers and of the Nampa Christian Church. Reared in Iowa, she was married to Mr. Brown Dec. 25, 1895, in Spencer, Iowa. They moved to Grand Junction in 1905, to Denver in 1916 and came to Nampa in 1938. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John R. Grant of Kuna, three sons, Richard Brown and Russ Brown of Denver and Bert Brown of Weiser and eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Fred Hickman and Ed Hickman both of Nampa, two half brothersFloyd Hickman and Russell Hickman, both of Grand Junction, Colo.
